Update from Heritage Academy – Rebekah Walk

During ATL I went and sat by myself and was asking God for a strong peace and for the devil to not put any thoughts into my head. At that moment I felt this silence and peace that I have never felt before. Then, I saw a picture of this dining room table that was totally empty sitting alone. After that I got this awkward shiver. I had no idea what it meant. 

Then, Corey (AIM Staff) had everyone share what they saw or felt from the Lord. He then had us ask the Lord to clarify anything that we didn’t really understand the first time. I asked God what that table had meant and he just put a an open chair sitting in front of the table. The Lord was showing that I was welcome at His table and that He would take all of my worries and all of my past problems and struggles out of my hand and He would throw them away. 

Then I just felt God’s arms wrap around me and He was holding me tight and telling me that He loved me so much! I broke down crying because I am so happy that I feel this way. I’m so glad that I have a wonderful God who loves me so much and who will take all my past experiences and forget about them.
