Thursday is here, and we are winding down our ministry. There are
incredible stories that we can share, of ministering to people here in
TN.

Particularly, many of us have been talking about whether or
not the things we are doing, like inviting random strangers to a park to
do a VBS would work in the Bay Area. We are toying with the idea of
inviting strangers from our downtown back home to a ministry event, or
simply asking random strangers if we can pray for them.

One
particular story to share–on Tuesday we ran into a young boy, Damien. One of our girls  immediately struck up a friendship with this little boy and I
spoke with his grandmother for quite some time. The next day, on
Wednesday, even though Damien couldn’t be with us at the VBS, the
grandmother came to visit us and wanted to bless us by giving a cash
donation. It was a gracious gesture, of which we accepted.

Today,
we met a single mother who was had been facing a series of incredible
losses. At the age of 27, she lost her father and mother as well as her
brother (a possible murder/suicide). Raising a child on her own, she had
trouble making ends meet. We were able to minister to her, give her the
gospel, and also encourage her to be a part of a local church. We took
the money Damien’s grandmother gave us and put into her hands. Although
unsure of her future, we are praying that she will turn to the Lord in
faith and repentance, and learn to trust in His promises.

Soli Deo Gloria!
