God never ceases to amaze us- especially during ATL- That stands for Ask The Lord. Instead of our usual type of prayer which is primarily giving God our “Honey do list”, we ask him to give us his instructions- his list of treasures to find and minister to.

Anyhoo, during a particularly wonderful ATL, Vici, an awesome woman of God came back with a list that included a Pastor behind a pulpit, an “ugly boil”  which she described as large, shiny, with black on the top and a stem, and lastly, the words “Extravagant Healing”.  That day, she went out and spoke to the only Pastor she’d met since coming to Appalachia, but while they were talking, she just didn’t feel that it was him she was supposed to tell. There were others that came back with everything on their list checked off, but for Vici, we were still waiting for that particular treasure to be found. God’s timing of course is not our own, so we ended that day knowing that eventually his will would come to pass.

The next day at dinner, I was just talking to another person about ATL and was in the middle of the phrase “If Mohammed doesn’t come to the mountain, then the mountain will…” And Pastor Bo, the Pastor of the church we were lodging in came through the sanctuary door.

He asked to  speak to me, and I knew by the tone of his voice that there was something serious going on. We went out to the side of the church and he began to tell me he needed everyone to pray because he’d just had a colonoscopy, and the findings were not good. He began to speak about several polyps and cancer and before he could finish his description I ran, yelling for Vici. Pastor Bo was the treasure!

I yanked her from her dinner and brought her to him, then asked her to tell him her description- which was exactly what the X-ray picture the doctor had given him showed. The largest polyp was malignant, black on the top, and connected to his colon by a stem! Immediately Pastor Bo and I looked at Vici and said “Well, you know what you need to do, right?” And then the prayer was on. Can’t tell you how long it went on but by the time we were through we were all speaking in tongues and positive that he’d been healed. That was last week…

This week he got the pathology report back- the doctors who just seven days before were telling him to prepare for a colostomy bag have now announcing that the pathology report  is negatives and that looking at his prostate, stomach- everywhere- the only words he could use to describe it was “Fresh”.

Behold- He has made all things new!

What’s even better? Now members of Pastor Bo’s church are asking how they can do ATL’s too!
