“Today was the most amazing day… God shared the beauty of His creation with us at Natural Tunnel. Not only the beautiful creation of the tunnel itself but of His love in the hearts of two dear ones, Jade and Lexie.
We had just finished seeing the handiwork of the tunnel when the teens decides they wanted to test the waters of Stock Creek. We knew that would be fun and a chance to “cool down”. However we didn’t know of the Blessing God had in store for us. Jerry mentioned to the teens, “Wouldn’t it be great if we could have a baptism in this beautiful setting?” Before we knew it, Jade came forward to profess her faith and asked if she could indeed be baptized. Then Lexie expressed her desire to also profess her faith.
Cindy and I were up by the chair lift talking with a park ranger when Shelley came to tell us the wonderful news! As we started down the trail to witness this gift from God, the park ranger, Courtney, came up to Cindy and said she has been a Christian all her life but never been baptized and wanted to know if she too could join in the group with her profession of faith.
We watched as these three young women declared their faith in God and stated their desire. The tears flowed not only from the group but from perfect strangers that came along in the park.
So God shared His creation & His love, shown openly by these women’s love for Him…
Amazing Grace!“

To follow this amazing story, sweet Rhema, the daughter of two of our participants, was inspired by the example of the others to also be baptized. Back at the camp, Jerry seemed happy to get yet another pair of clothes wet to perform the baptism in the little creek on the property. What a great way to end a great week!
