God speaks to many through the tiny voices of children. That is what I was expecting when being sent to work with children an a day camp program. Wow! Was I surprised when we arrived and those voices were not tiny and the energy of the children did not stop. This group of children were a little wild, but had the sweetest faces and were so loving. We prayed for guidance, for the right words, for the right activities to channel their energy and touch their spirits. God had something more in mind, however. It was not the children's spirits that were being touched so deeply, but our own. The challenges they presented gave us the opportunity to turn to God, ask him for his guidance, and oh how he came through! Our hearts were about to break as we said goodbye on the last day, seeing the kids most resistant to our attempts to show God's love come and give us the biggest, strongest, and longest lasting hugs. I am convinced God will do great things with and through these Children!ย
