Arriving at the Duffield nursing home we were looking forward to seeing what Jesus had prepared for us. While some of our group went to join in on an already in progress Bingo game, a few of us decided to go down the halls and pray for people who God had prepared for us to meet.

Finding people who felt  had no hope,  really started to grip our hearts. Extremely emotional. We pressed on and walked down the hall until we reached a room where a lady was waving for us to come in.. Walking in the room, we realized she had a ventelater in her throat and and some of her body parts were missing.

When our eyes met she looked at me as if she had known me all of my life. As I walked closer to her, her eyes started to weld up with tears and her arms came out to me as if she wanted me to embrase her. Without hesitation , I rushed into her arms and didn’t let go. I felt my tears on her skin and hers on mine. Straining to hear what she was saying to me over and over, i realized she was saying “I Love You, I love you, i love you, i love you.”

When we finally let go and i looked up, the first thing I saw was a cross of  Jesus.

Something I will remember for the rest of my life , Wanting to be the one used, Jesus had instead used Chelsea to be a blessing to me.
