What an amazing weekend!

Knowing that outreaches are always fluid and changing, I came into this weekend flexible and looking forward to how God would use us. We worked at Mountain Lake Ranch- Veterans Christian Fellowship. The Ranch is a place of ministry where vets can come and be encouraged in many common hardships that follow deployment into war zones.

We cleaned, cut, and built all around the ranch and at the Lakeway Area Habitat for Humanity resale store. Along with a ton of outdoor work and good times with old and new friends, we also took on some evangelism.

As usual, when we go somewhere with the intention of ministering to others, we usually end up receiving just as much as anyone else!

God is so good! As we were praying for God's direction to go and pray with others, God just wouldn't stop talking about how proud he was of us. Not because of what we have done or were doing, but solely because of who we are in Him. We saw how we are not servants, who do not know the goings and comings of our Master, but instead, He considers us His children. Children know the plans of the Father, the in's and out's of the Father's will. The children of the King do not have to toil and strive for approval. Children get to live and fulfill their Father's inheritance; they are the apple of His eye!

As children of God, we know that we are not alone. God spoke clearly to us about just how far-reaching his vine stretches. As Jesus said, the Father is the vine dresser, Jesus is the vine, and the church is fruit that He produces. It was a true honor to be able to be a part of this particular aspect of what Jesus is doing in the world. We were humbled to get to be used for Jesus! Go God!
