The last day of our mission trip has been an emotional one indeed. I came on this mission trip to change lives but mine is the one being changed. I have been taught patience, compassion, learning to let go of control and joy, true joy. Joy is a state of mind. Joy is something no situation or person can take from you. Joy is God living in you. God is building joy in my heart. God is helping me to stay focused on Him and the big picture and not just the present situation or circumstance.

My hope after this mission trip is to keep the joy and focus God has showed me this week and apply it to my daily life. The children and individuals I have interacted with this week has changed my life more than they will ever know.
